Leading Intravenous Education & Wellness aims to fill the gap in specialized training for healthcare professionals seeking expertise in phlebotomy and IV therapy. Our courses will cover fundamental and advanced techniques, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care. The company will cater to aspiring phlebotomists, nurses, medical assistants, and healthcare facilities seeking to train their staff.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Leading Intravenous Education & Wellness was founded by Michelle Perna, a Registered Nurse and Exercise Scientist. In her career as a Neonatal Intensive Care RN, she became very adept in her phlebotomy and intravenous skills. After leaving bedside nursing she returned to the health and wellness world by using her nursing skills in the holistic health space, doing lab draws, IV Vitamin Infusions, Intramuscular Injections, and regenerative health medicine. She found that very frequently her clients were traumatized by their experiences with blood draws or IV infusions. She realized that most healthcare professionals were not as fortunate as she was to receive exceptional training and practice in these skills. She realized there was a massive discrepancy in education and training with specialized healthcare skills across the healthcare industry. This is where Leading Intravenous Education & Wellness was born. Michelle’s goal is to be able to share her knowledge and training on a broader scale, to help established healthcare professionals improve their skills, and new healthcare professionals an opportunity to create good habits that will set them up for success in their careers.
